I offer presentations and workshops for students grades 3-5, as well as adult learners. These can be designed to fit your needs! Please reach out: the fees can also be negotiated, depending on your group situation.
IN PERSON:
INTERACTIVE "CLASS" DISCUSSION - "Between the Lighthouse and You" – 20-30 students, 1 hour.
I would lead three separate one-hour classes in a discussion about the book’s themes, characters, and plot – and we would share our personal connections to the book. We would also discuss the writing process (including revision), idea generation, and how the story became a published book. Students should have read the book ahead of time.
Three separate "classes" (full day): $500
One class: $175
INTERACTIVE WRITING WORKSHOP – 10-15 students, 1 hour.
As a small group, we'd meet once a week for three weeks to write creatively. Some possible topics and themes: life as an author, the writing process (including revision), the core basics of building a story or poem, idea generation. Students would be digging into their own creativity and getting personal attention.
Three-week "workshop," one session per week: $300
AFTER-SCHOOL BOOK CLUB – 10-15 students, 1 hour.
This would be an extra-curricular activity with students who have read Between the Lighthouse and You ahead of the session. We would discuss the book’s themes, characters, and plot, as well as share our personal experience reading the book. Light snack provided.
One Session: $150
VIRTUAL PRESENTATIONS - 10-30 students, 1 hour.
I am available for one hour sessions (three max in one day). Students should have read the book ahead of time. We would discuss the book’s themes, characters, and plot, as well as share our personal experience reading the book.
One session: $100
* We could also discuss the option of book purchases to waive fees.
* We could also discuss the option of an Author's Lunch or Professional Development Teacher sessions.
